Puzzle Deck

Questions

If the answer is not here, write to support@puzzledeckapp.com.

Do I need an account?

Yes. An account is required before the first puzzle, because your streak and your finished days are kept for you rather than only on whichever device you happened to play on. Sign in with Apple, Google, or an emailed link.

Is it free?

The four daily puzzles are free, every day, for everyone. The subscription adds the archive of past days, practice mode, and removes the ads.

Does everyone get the same puzzles?

Yes. The four puzzles are decided by the calendar date rather than by a server, so your Tuesday is the same as everybody else Tuesday, wherever they are. That is what makes a shared grid worth sharing.

How many attempts do I get?

One attempt at each puzzle, each day. There is no retry and no second chance, which is the point. Practice mode, part of the subscription, is where you can replay without it counting.

Can I play offline?

Yes. The puzzles are generated on your device from the date, so a day can be played with no network at all. Your results sync the next time you are online.

What happens if I miss a day?

Your streak resets. Subscribers get one missed day forgiven per calendar month, applied automatically, so a single bad day does not end a long run.

How do the boards work?

A board shows how many players scored what, and nothing about who. There is no list of names and no way to look anybody up, because a daily leaderboard with identities in it would be a record of who played when.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iOS and Android, through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, since only the account holder can cancel a store subscription. If you subscribed on the web, there is a manage link in Settings.

How do I delete my account?

In Settings, under the account section, or from the delete-account page on this site. Deleting removes everything the server holds for you. A store subscription has to be cancelled separately, because Apple and Google only let you do that yourself.

A puzzle looks wrong. How do I report it?

There is a report control on the result panel of every puzzle backed by a real-world fact, which sends us the specific item rather than a general complaint. A mislabelled year or a photograph that should not have passed review is worth telling us about.
