Puzzle Deck is four puzzles a day, the same four for everyone, with one attempt each.

In a paragraph

Puzzle Deck puts four puzzles on one page every day and gives you a single attempt at each. Three of them are the same every day — a number chain, a partly-hidden flag, a pipe grid — and the fourth is a Wildcard that rotates weekly through twelve others, from estimating quantities to matching a colour by eye. Which four you get is derived from the calendar date rather than from a server, so everybody on the same local date plays the identical page, and the shared grid at the end means the same thing to whoever receives it. It plays offline, because the puzzles are generated on the device. It is free every day; a subscription adds the archive, practice mode and removes ads.

The facts

The things worth writing about

• The day is a function of the date. No server decides what you play, which is why it works offline and why two people on opposite sides of the world get the same page.
• Boards without names. A board shows how many people scored what and where you sit in that shape. There is no list of players and no way to look anybody up.
• Fifteen puzzles, not one. The Wildcard rotation means the fourth slot is a different kind of thinking most weeks — all of them are documented, with the same rules sentence the app itself shows.

What not to write

Please do not describe it as free-to-play with in-app purchases for hints or extra attempts. There are none, and there will not be: one attempt a day is the rule the whole thing is built on.
