One question, one number, one guess. You are scored on how many times out you are, not the raw difference, so an order of magnitude is what matters.
How heavy, how far, how many. One question, one number, and only one attempt. The score is a ratio rather than a difference, so being out by a hundred on a number in the millions barely costs you, and being out by ten times on a small one does. Getting the order of magnitude right is most of the answer.
When you will see it
Estimation is a Wildcard. It takes the fourth slot for a week at a time, on a rotation through twelve candidates.
